‘Christian Muslim Relations: Challenges, Possibilities’

FUMC Rockwall Wesley Arts lecture series presents Dr. Hunt

(Rockwall) First United Methodist Church Rockwall will present the first of their Wesley Arts Lecture Series with Dr. Robert Hunt, director of Global Theological Education at SMU Perkins School of Theology in Dallas. He will discuss “Christian Muslim Relations in the 21st Century: Challenges and Possibilities.”

Dr. Hunt is an expert on world religions, including Islam, and has served as a religious consultant for former President George W. Bush, as well as other Washington D.C. officials.  An author of numerous articles and research books, his publications serve as a leading authority on global religion and its impact on the modern world.

Dr. Hunt is an exceptional gift to the Christian Ministry as he warmly captivates his audiences with his knowledge and approachable attitude. He will open the Wesley Arts Lecture Series at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 20 at FUMC, 1200 E. Yellow Jacket Lane in Rockwall. Tickets are $5 and may be reserved in advance by calling 972-771-5500 or online at fumcrockwall.com. Reserved tickets will be held at the door.

The Wesley Arts Lecture Series is an educational service of First United Methodist Church Rockwall, created for the purpose of providing an alternate format of faith/biblical education that compliments the interests of the members of the church and the local community. The Wesley Arts will present a guest speaker every 3-4 months, with the next speaker slated to be Dr. Mark Chancy, current Chair of the Religious Studies at Southern Methodist University.
