Tiger Trot to honor memory of exotic cats

(Plano/Wylie) In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Education Center will host its third annual Tiger Trot on Saturday, Nov. 19 at Oak Point Amphitheater, 2801 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

The one-mile walk (dogs welcome) and 5K Fun Run is hosted in memory of In-Sync’s many rescued exotic cats that have “crossed the Rainbow Bridge.”

The rain-or-shine fundraising event features snow cones, food vendors, and the Anchor Rose Band performing live from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Race day registration is 8 to 9 a.m. The one-mile walk kicks off at 9:30 a.m., followed by the 5K Fun Run at 9:45. An awards ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m.

The cost is $25 for adults; $15 for children and includes race, concert, bottle of water, T-shirt, and bounce house. Group rates are available. Non-participants may enjoy the concert for $10 and a T-shirt for $15.
