“Forever Plaid,” the musical, is enjoying a three-week run in the Black Box at the Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater. The show is presented by Flower Mound Performing Arts Theatre.
Remaining evening shows start at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 20-23. Tickets are $25 with discounts available for seniors, students, children and groups. Tickets can be purchased online at fmpat.org or by calling 972-724-2147. Advance tickets cannot be purchased at MCL Grand.
This deliciously goofy revue centers on the “Plaids,” a singing foursome killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert, who are miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was.
The show stars Mark Mullino, who also directs, Eric Domuret, Doug Miller and Jacob Villarreal, and features music direction by critically acclaimed pianist Vonda K. Bowling.
Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater, located at 100 N. Charles Street, between Main and Church streets, opened in January. The 40,000-square-foot facility features a 296-seat proscenium theater, black box theater, dance recital hall, art gallery, five art classrooms and a large courtyard. Medical Center of Lewisville reached a multi-year agreement with the city last year for naming rights at the center.
To reach the MCL Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. MCL Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center. Parking is not allowed on the grass lot across Church Street from MCL Grand.
