Grits & Glamour with Lorrie Morgan, Pam Tillis

(Richardson) Eisemann Center Presents’ Lorrie Morgan & Pam Tillis’ Grits & Glamour Tour at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14.

These country legends get up close and personal, performing songs and sharing stories about their lives for an event that will entertain and inspire all audiences.

Lorrie Morgan made her first appearance on the Grand Ole Opry with her father George Morgan as a teenager in 1975 and has built a reputation as a bona fide country star. Some of her timeless country standards which contribute to her fascinating personal story include “Five Minutes,” “Something in Red,” “Watch Me” and “What Part of No.”

In Lorrie’s lifetime, she has achieved 14 top ten hits, 12 albums, seven of which have gone gold and platinum, and four Female Vocalist of the Year awards.

Pam Tillis has bathed in the lights of Broadway, posed for glamour magazine spreads, and even made cameos in movies, yet she remains rooted in classic country music. Tillis, the daughter of famed singer Mel Tillis, was one of the first women in Nashville to produce her own album and has been a formidable force in country music since her first single hit the charts in 1990.

Pam has found her own way as a singer and songwriter with 14 top five hits, six of which hit #1. She has sold more than six million records, and was awarded the coveted Female Vocalist of the Year by the CMA in 1994.
