Rockwall County Library news for the New Year

The Rockwall County Library will be closed Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

AUDIO BOOK, eBOOKS

The Rockwall County Library now offers improved audio book and eBook download services, including loans of books for Kindle, Nook and other devices. Go to rockwallcountytexas.com/library and select Databases & Downloads from the menu for more information.

READING FOR ADULTS

Registration is underway for GED, ESL, and Citizenship classes at the Rockwall County Libary. Classes start Monday, Jan. 9. Morning and evening sessions are available, free of charge – but a $20 book fee is required.

Morning classes meet from 10 a.m. to noon Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, with a conversation class offered on Fridays.

Evening classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for ESL and Citizenship; and from 6 to 8 p.m. for GED classes.

Pre-registration is required.
