Forney Arts Council will present nationally renowned singer/songwriters Alice Peacock and Danny Myrick in concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012. The concert will be held as part of the FAC’s Forney Live House Concerts Series at 400 S. Center Street in Forney, 75126.
Tickets are $15 and may be purchased online at forneyarts.org/forney-live or reserved by sending an email to music@forneyarts.org.
Peacock and Myrick are touring in support of their latest album, “Myrick/Peacock.”
“We just knocked this album out,” Peacock says. “It’s really organic-sounding, and that’s what we were going for. A lot of people say it reminds them of classic Linda Ronstadt, Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, John Mellencamp.”
Midwest News says, “The lyrical goddess, Alice Peacock, teams up with a rocking Danny Myrick to come out as part of a duo this time around. They are more equal partners than Lucinda Williams and Gurf Morlix were but they ignite the same kind of sparks that Williams and Morlix did when Williams decided it was time to leave the blues behind.”
