(Frisco) Frisco Square Development, NBC5, and the City of Frisco announced today that the number of visitors during Christmas in the Square and holiday events this season surpassed all other previous years.

During the holiday lights display held November 25, 2011 through January 8, 2012, 665,330 people came to Frisco Square. This is an amazing 30% increase in visitors. The 2010 season welcomed 518,000 people.

This demonstrates the tremendous popularity of the holiday light show and weekend events such as the snow slide, the lighting of the Christmas tree, carriage rides, snow machines, balloon glow, parachuting Santa, as well as the new Lights on Ice outdoor ice skating rink that was sponsored by Sooner Management, LLC.  Frisco Square is the place to be during the holidays and another great season is anticipated at the end of 2012.

Frisco Square is a pedestrian-friendly, urban experience that blends shopping, dining, office space, apartment living, lofts, park space and Frisco’s City Hall and library.
