Sabine Creek Fellowship to host Membership Workshop

Chad Hennings speaks at Men’s Conference, membership grows

(Royse City) Sabine Creek Ranch welcomed former Dallas Cowboy Chad Hennings at “The Man of Character” Men’s Conference, Jan. 20 and 21.

More than 120 men came to relax, eat, fellowship and enjoy a bonfire while taking advantage of motivational and informative sessions that recharged spiritual batteries.

Friday night also featured kickboxers fighting it out in a ring, with a challenge for the men in attendance to take the spiritual battles they face as seriously as a physical fight.

Hennings shared stories from his days as a fighter pilot in the Gulf War, and his eventual return to football as part of the Superbowl champion Dallas Cowboys.

Located 30 minutes east of downtown Dallas at 576 Sabine Creek Road in Royse City, Sabine Creek Ranch is a working cattle ranch and equestrian center, with meeting space, chef-prepared meals and lodging for retreats, conferences, and banquets. It is also home to Sabine Creek Fellowship.

Where God is at work, the enemy lurks nearby.  He seeks to steal, kill and destroy, and this is for real.  Be on guard, pray for one another, and let’s keep proclaiming the good news of Christ until He comes. – Eddie Walker, founder

Eddie Walker, founder of Sabine Creek Ranch, reported that more than 200 people showed up for worship and Bible study on Sunday.

“Many have said they are ready to officially become a member of Sabine Creek Fellowship,” Walker said. “This Sunday, Jan. 29, we’ll meet in the Dining Hall for a Membership Workshop.  Every person who would like to join, or who just wants to get more information in order to make a decision, needs to attend.  You don’t have to join at that time, but you’ll be able to take that step after attending.”

There will be dessert and coffee, and childcare if needed. Those interested should register online.

Upcoming events include Youth Camp, June 11-15 and Preteen Camp, July 23-36.
