(Frisco) Feb. 29, 2012 – Frisco City Council member Bob Allen, seeking reelection of Place 1 in the May 12, 2012 Frisco City Council voting, announces Ed Szczebak as campaign treasurer.
Szczebak, a Virginia native, who has lived in Texas for more than 25 years, resides in Frisco Lakes, is active in the community through service at Holy Cross Catholic Church, The Conservative Coalition and is a graduate of City Hall 101, a Frisco program designed to give citizens and insider’s view of various city department operations.
Szczebak, a systems engineer employed by Tellabs, a design and manufacturing telephone equipment company, has over 37 years of service. His work has taken him world-wide, including places such as New Zealand, Italy, China, and Poland. Szczebak’s engineering background and community involvement as Communications Chair for The Conservative Coalition combines his love of numbers and politics, making a perfect marriage of qualities for a campaign treasurer.
“It is an honor to help Bob Allen’s campaign, as he strives to continue serving Frisco residents as City Council Member, Place 1,” said Szczebak. “I am committed to meeting the challenges and look forward to helping him remain in office to keep Frisco moving forward. Frisco isn’t the fastest growing city in the United States for nothing; it is leaders like Bob who have made this a great place for families to come to.”
Allen has played a fundamental roll in developing Frisco as the fastest growing city in America. During the past 12 years of his involvement with the city, Frisco has built necessary facilities to govern a growing city; providing new roads and infrastructure, building a new police headquarters, four new fire stations, an emergency operations center, a new senior center, a fitness center, a City Hall and a library.
“Making Frisco a destination city is an existing plan that I will continue to develop as a member of the Frisco City Council. We have already made strides by providing entertainment additions like the baseball stadium, the Stars Entertainment Center, and FC Dallas, a world-class soccer venue and will continue to attract businesses to our area, as well as people who want to call Frisco home.” – Bob Allen
“Szczebak’s support as campaign treasurer will help me focus on Frisco’s future,” said Allen. “It is important that people understand the commitment that was required in the past, to get us where we are today. I was committed when I first served on council, am committed now, and am committed to the future growth of Frisco to provide our residents with job growth, housing and planned development.”
