Heath offers free disposal, recycling of electronics

The City of Heath, Rockwall-Heath High School and the Environmental Co-op will sponsor a free electronic waste (E-Waste) collection event at the high school at 801 Laurence Drive in Heath from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18.

The public can deliver their E-Waste that has reached its “end-of-life” or “end-of-usage” free of charge. E-Waste includes computer monitors, TVs, computers, laptops, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, mainframe computers, hard drives, circuit boards, cell phones, cordless and corded telephones, stereos, DVD players, and other consumer electronics such as small household appliances including microwaves, blenders and shavers.

Also collected for free will be all ink and toner cartridges, batteries and eye glasses for the Lion’s Club.

By disposing of your E-Waste at this event, you can do your part to help the environment by diverting E-Waste from our landfills.
