Thelma Wells, Women of Faith, to be special guest
(Rockwall) The seventh Lakeside Bridal Fair is coming to the Hilton Bella Harbor from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, showcasing some of the best wedding vendors in North Texas and featuring special guest Thelma Wells of Women of Faith.
Sponsored by the Hilton Bella Harbor, Lakeside Party Rental and Providence Place Bridal Shop, the bridal fair will include an interactive fashion show and prize giveaways every hour. Models will wear the latest bridal fashions and meander through the crowd, allowing brides-to-be to see how gowns look in the light and move on the dance floor. There will be chances to win honeymoon vacations, gift certificates and other prizes. The first 100 brides-to-be will receive a $50 gift card, and every bride-to-be will receive a bridal goodie bag.
Thelma Wells of Women of Faith will present a special wedding workshop called “How to Make Him the Man of your Dreams.” She will sign copies of her new book and debut her new perfume, “Hope by Thelma.” There will be samples of men’s cologne as well.
Fair-goers will discover unique floral designs, decorations and invitations, while enjoying cake tastings and catering samples. There will be wedding gowns and live hair styling demos so brides-to-be can see which style works best to compliment their dress and face shape. Guys will enjoy the cigar lounge!
Couples will see some of the hottest wedding venues available and learn new wedding party ideas. And the show will be presented in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere, away from the stress associated with “mega” bridal shows. The Hilton Bella Harbor is located at 2055 Summer Lee Drive in Rockwall, on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard, offering a gorgeous ballroom and a beautiful waterfront view. Attendees can also take advantage of a private tour of the Hilton Bella Harbor Hotel.
Bring canned food donations for free admission
In addition to helping couples plan their special day, the Lakeside Bridal Fair is as an opportunity to help fill the food pantry at Helping Hands, the critical assistance agency that serves Rockwall County families in need. Simply bring four canned goods or dry food items to the show, and the $10 admission fee will be waived.
Tickets are $10 each or 5 for $40; grooms, dads and guys are admitted free. As noted, those who bring four canned goods or dry food items for the Helping Hands food pantry will also be admitted free. Pre-register online for a free ticket, too.
Sister shows will be coming to Mesquite and Duncanville.
