Frisco plumber named Frisco Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year
Feb. 1, 2012 – Frisco-based Legacy Plumbing Inc. received the coveted award for Small Business of the Year during the Frisco Chamber of Commerce’s 28th Annual Awards Celebration on Jan. 27 at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Frisco.
With hundreds of guests in attendance and nominees in nine categories from Citizen of the Year to Developer of the Year, Legacy Plumbing took home the award for Small Business of the Year by winning over an elite group of businesses.
The nominees in the Small Business category included Engraved 2 Perfection, Legacy ER & Urgent Care, POParella’s Gourmet Popcorn and Prisma Staffing.
Legacy Plumbing follows in the tradition of other outstanding Frisco organizations that previously captured this award including North Collin County Habitat for Humanity ReStore and Love Peace Popcorn, winners in 2010 and 2009, respectively.
The Frisco Chamber’s Small Business of the Year award recognizes companies that have had steady growth and have contributed to the overall prosperity of the City of Frisco. Additionally, the selection committee considers the companies’ commitment and dedication to serving the communities of Frisco and North Texas.
“We are so honored and feel very blessed to receive such a prestigious award,” said co-owner and CFO, Michelle Young of Legacy Plumbing. Theron Young, co-owner and president, was humbled and overjoyed to have received the award.
“This award is only possible because of the hard work and dedication from our entire Legacy Team. We believe we have the absolute best plumbing professionals and are so fortunate to have them on our team. We were so excited to bring this award home to our guys; they truly deserve the recognition,” said Young.
This latest recognition is one of three business awards the local plumbing company received in the past six months. In September 2011, they received the award for Unique Sales Process from FriscoStyle Magazine. In October, Legacy Plumbing was also recognized in the Emerging Companies category at the Collin County Business Press’ Celebration of Enterprise Awards.
“Our vision is to serve our customers with honesty and integrity, while providing them with the highest quality plumbing services. We feel so honored that our loyal customers allow us to serve them and we are so grateful to be recognized by our community for fulfilling our vision,” said Young. “It is truly phenomenal to be recognized as a business leader in the great City of Frisco.”
