Congratulations to Samantha Hicks with the FISD CTE Center! Her Arts in the Square 2012 Poster won with an overwhelming 125 votes.

(Frisco) Arts in the Square, the juried Fine Arts festival held March 31 and April 1 in Frisco Square, awarded blue ribbons to 13 outstanding artists across several categories.

This year 124 of the best national and regional artists from across the country participated, and artists and visitors were impressed with the very well thought-out festival with a good varsity of artisans.

Frisco Square and the Arts in the Square coordinators congratulate the following winners for this year’s festival.

Best in Show:  Sculpture – Richard Turner from Kansas

Juror’s Choice:  Jewelry – Stephen Zeh from Maine

1st place by category:

Clay – Tom Radca from Ohio

Fiber Art – Elizabeth Jenkins from New Mexico

Glass – Eric Hansen from Texas

Watercolor – Nha Vuu from Texas

Wood – Daryoush Ababaf from Texas

Oil – Charles Thomas from Arizona

Photography – Jean-Claude Louis from Washington

Sculpture – Bob Wilfong from Washington

2D – Rey D’Alfonso from California

3D – Anne Cubbage from Texas

Acrylic – Pamela Lee from Illinois
