(Lewisville) May 1, 2012 – Lewisville Fire Department will host the fourth annual Keeping Tradition Alive Firefighter Pipes, Drum and Honor Guard Symposium next week at the Lewisville Convention Center.
The public is invited to enjoy the free Jam Session on Thursday, May 10, on the front steps of Lewisville City Hall.
Gates will open at 6 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m.
Firefighters from across the nation will attend this conference to learn more about the art of bagpipes, drums and the honor guard.
More than 100 pipers and drummers will play at the Old Town event.
This family-friendly event will feature several pieces of antique fire equipment on display, and Wing Stop will be on site selling food and beverages.
Visitors are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs for their comfort.
