Rain or shine, the 2012 Tour of Gardens, a project of the Rockwall County Master Gardener Association, will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, featuring six standout gardens.
Four gracious homeowners will open their private gardens for tours: 2725 Promenade Place; 1975 Hidden Valley; 657 Mission Drive; and 704 Lake Meadows Court (all located north of Interstate 30).
Tickets can be purchased for $10 at each of these locations on the day of the tour. A map is printed on the back of the ticket. For detailed directions, visit rockgma.org.
The Rockwall County Discovery Garden, created and maintained by the Rockwall County Master Gardeners at 875 Riding Club Road, will be on display.
Eastridge Church of Christ Memorial Garden and Community Vegetable Garden, 670 Stodghill Road (FM 3549), will also be open for viewing.
Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 on the day of the tour. Purchase tickets from a Rockwall County Master Gardener or from the following retailers:

Gardens on the tour will be printed on your ticket along with a map. Allow plenty of time to view the gardens because the tour will end promptly at 2.
No pets please and no public restrooms will be available at the gardens.
An online survey of the Tour of Gardens will be conducted at rockgma.org for two weeks following the event. Your suggestions and comments help the Master Gardeners improve the tour each year. As a survey participant, you will be entered in a drawing for prizes.
