Williams Middle School student wins national art competition

(Rockwall ISD) Eighth grader Sofia Sanchez competed in the nationwide “Art. It’s in the air” drawing contest hosted by Triarco Arts and Crafts, and won 1^st place in the 7-9 grade division.

Sofia’s artwork will be featured in the 2013 catalog publication that will be mailed in November to art educators throughout the country. Sofia was also award with a $100 check and a $500 gift certificate for her school.

Williams Middle School is very proud of Sofia.
