(Garland) June 7, 2012 – Bring your father, brother and friends to “It’s a Guy Thing: Better Man, Better You” – a FREE men’s health event from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 23 at Hyatt Place Dallas/Garland, Firewheel Conference Center, located at 5101 N. George Bush Freeway in Garland.
The event, sponsored by Baylor Medical Center at Garland, includes free screenings for cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure; health assessments, diabetes education, pulmonary function tests, sleep disorder resources – even golf swing analysis.
Health presentations include “Lung Cancer 101” at 9 a.m.; and “Survive Don’t Drive – The Importance of Calling 911 When Experiencing Symptoms of Heart Attack and Stroke” at 10 a.m.
Healthy grilling demonstrations are scheduled for 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.
