June 4, 2012 – The Rockwall County Committee on Aging and Meals on Wheels, whose mission is to keep the elderly and disabled citizens of Rockwall County living in their homes as long as safely possible through supportive services, nutritious meals and daily human contact, will host their Third Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, June 8 at Buffalo Creek Golf Club, 324 Country Club Drive in Heath.
Registration is from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The tournament will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. There will be awards, door prizes, and gifts available for participants.
More than 100 volunteers deliver 45,000 meals each year in Rockwall, Heath, Royse City, Fate and McClendon Chisholm. The Rockwall County Committee on Aging assists with finding resources, information referral, benefits counseling, caregiver support, fall prevention seminars, emergency management and more. Your participation in the tournament will help support local senior services.
