(Rockwall ISD) The Rockwall Independent School District is proud to announce that Lisa Gielow has been named principal of Nebbie Williams Elementary School for 2012-13.
Gielow served as an assistant principal in Rockwall ISD beginning in 2007 and is the current Elementary Summer School Principal.
Gielow has worked directly with students and staff in her assistant principal roles at Dorothy Smith Pullen Elementary and Celia Hays Elementary. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree from the University of North Texas and attended Texas A&M Commerce to complete her Administrator Certification.
“We are extremely excited that Ms. Gielow will be the new principal at Nebbie Williams. Her passion for education and our district is easy to see,” said Rockwall ISD Assistant Superintendent Debbie Smothermon.
Gielow began her teaching career in Mesquite ISD in 8th grade science and has also taught 7th and 8th grade science in Sunnyvale ISD as well as grades K-8 gifted and talented. Her last teaching assignment was in Rockwall ISD at Cain Middle School. Since the beginning of her career as a young teacher, she was involved in many leadership activities at the campus and district levels, sponsored students in co-curricular and extra-curricular programs, and even coached girls athletics.
