Treasure-trove of bargains at Friends of Plano Library Book Sale

Event touted as one of the largest book sales in the region

(Plano) July 12, 2012 – The 29th Annual Friends of the Plano Public Library Book Sale is Aug. 2-4 at Plano Centre, 2000 E. Spring Creek Parkway.

With a reputation as one of the largest book sales in the region, the Friends’ sale features more than 100,000 gently-used hardbacks, paperbacks, DVDs and CDs, all priced at $2 or less.

Mark your calendar for Thursday’s “First Nighter Sale” on Aug. 2 from 6 to 10 p.m. for the best choice of books. Admission for this night only is $5 for individuals, $10 for families, and free for Friends members.

Free admission on Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. allows for leisurely shopping for the whole family. All proceeds are used to fund materials and programs at the five Plano libraries, so shoppers can shop ‘til they drop knowing they are benefiting the Plano community.
