Friday Night Live treasure hunt in Rowlett yields door prizes, networking opps

(Rowlett) July 23, 2012 – There were several happy prize winners and a steady flow of treasure hunters at the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce’s Friday Night Live networking event this past weekend.

Hosted by Dry Clean USA, Printer Smart, Computer Network Services and All About Pools, the walking tour included stops at each of the four Rowlett businesses, conveniently located on the southwest corner of Lakeview Parkway and Dalrock.

Plenty of delicious food, drinks and conversation flowed as guests exchanged business cards and learned more about the products and services that each business offers.

Throughout the pirate-themed event, guests collected doubloons from treasure chests, and were treated to handy giveaways like mouse pads and dry cleaning totes.

A business card drawing was held at Printer Smart at the end of the “treasure hunt.”

Scott Yudin with Rogers Advertising won a gift certificate for free printer repair service (unlimited labor) from Printer Smart.

Joe Zellers with Handy Joe won a $25 gift card from Kim Khanh Nguyen and Dry Clean USA. Joe provides residential repairs and routine maintenance on homes, including painting, fences, yard work, roofs, gutters, plumbing, and electrical.

Martha Murphree, an independent associate from Ignite, went home with a gift package of Adco Eco detergent and fabric softener  (sold exclusively at Dry Clean USA).

Jason Michaels of Massage Envy won a water proof  iPhone case from All About Pools.

Bari Woolley from First Step Chiropractic won $50 worth of cleaning from Dry Clean USA.

Tyler Mancuso with CertaPro Painters won a gift bag donated by Robbert van Bloemendaal and Travel Leaders of Rowlett.

Rickey Wright of Cabrera Wright Company took home a copy of Bethany Williams’ new book, “Brand You,” a step-by-step guide to building your brand. Bethany is the wife of Michael Williams at Printer Smart.

Thanks to Robbert van Bloemendaal of Travel Leaders of Rowlett for sharing his photos of the event.
