Pre-registration required, Open Houses set for July 23, 30
(Wylie) July 23, 2012 – Wylie is H.O.P.E. will host a Back-to-School Fair from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, providing school supplies for children who need financial assistance. The event will be at the First Baptist Church Event Center, 200 N. Ballard Ave, downtown Wylie and features contributions from the Wylie ISD Education Foundation, Wylie Evening Lions Club, the Wylie Police Department and the First Baptist Church of Wylie.
Pre-registration is required this year, so qualified families must attend one of two open house dates of July 23 and 30, scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m., at American National Bank Community Center at 301 S. Highway 78 in Wylie. Click here for a registration form.
Applicants must bring proof of residency in the form of a utility bill, lease documents or proof of student registration at a Wylie ISD campus or report card. In addition, a photo ID and proof of need will also be required. Proof of need includes: qualifying for free or reduced lunches; food stamps; Women, Infants and Children (WIC) grants; Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHiP); Medicaid or proof of unemployment.
