Bow Wow Pow Wow benefits The Colony Animal Shelter’s Injured Animal Fund, Dog Day benefits Garland Pawsabilities
(Garland / The Colony) August 30, 2012 – Every dog has his day. Actually, this year, he has his choice of two days. Hawaiian Falls waterparks will host their annual Doggie Swim Days the last days of their 2012 season, just before draining the pools for the off season.
Hawaiian Falls The Colony will host Bow-Wow Pow-Wow, benefiting The Colony Animal Shelter’s Injured Animal Fund, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, September 8.
There will be dog/owner swim areas, pet vendors, canine contests, doggie parades, games, pet pictures and more. Admission is $12 per person, which includes one dog. Additional dogs will be admitted for $4 with a limit of two dogs per person. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Colony Animal Shelter Injured Animal Fund. Concessions will be available for humans, plus some special dog delicacies.

Then, Hawaiian Falls Garland will host their Dog Day, benefiting Garland Pawsabilities, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, September 9.

Garland Pawsibilities, formerly known as Garland Bark Park is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer organization. Their focus is to help the City of Garland Shelter adopt out more dogs and cats and promote the need for spay and neutering of pets. More at http://www.garlandpawsibilities.org
