Mentors to host Livestock Introduction meeting for students interested in 4-H projects

(Rockwall) July 25, 2012 – Rockwall County Livestock Mentors are hosting a Livestock Introduction meeting from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Rockwall ISD Ag. Science Center, 875 Riding Club Road.

This event is for Rockwall County Youth interested in having a 4-H animal livestock project including cattle, hogs, goats, sheep and rabbits. Mentors will cover the basics you need to know before purchasing your animal projects with cost analysis figures.
4-H is for youth 8 years old and in 3rd grade through High School graduation. It is one of the largest youth organizations in the nation offering young people the opportunity to build self-esteem, build friendships, and prepare for future.

A kick-off meeting for families interested in 4-H and it’s opportunities animal and non-animal related will be held September 24.
