Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees elect new officers

(Rockwall ISD) August 6, 2012 – The members of the Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees have elected new officers for the 2012-2013 year.  Doug Hamilton, a member of the Board since 2001, was elected president.  Chris Cuny will serve as vice president and Leigh Plagens will serve as secretary.

Hamilton was elected to the board in May of 2001 and was subsequently re-elected in 2004, 2007, and 2010.  He has been actively involved in the Rockwall community and served on the Rockwall Economic Development Corporation’s Board of Directors for several years, holding office as president, vice president and secretary.  He and his wife, Janet, have previously been involved in PTAs at Reinhardt Elementary, Williams Middle School, and Rockwall High School.  Professionally, Hamilton is employed at American Eurocopter as the Senior Director – Management Information Systems (MIS).

Other members of the Board of Trustees are David Loftis, Russ Childers, Stephanie Adams, and Linda Duran.

The RISD Board of Trustees hold regularly scheduled meetings that are open to the public on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the RISD Administration Building at 1050 Williams Street in Rockwall.
