(Wylie) September 9, 2012 – The classic seasonal children’s television special of A Charlie Brown Christmas will be brought to life on the stage by the Wylie Acting Group for Children (WAG) just in time for the holidays! All school-aged children interested in participating are invited to audition at 9 am Saturday, September 22 at the Best Western Hotel in Wylie, 2011 N Highway 78, Wylie, Texas, 75098.
Story Synopsis: When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism that he sees amongst everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but it proves to be a frustrating struggle. When an attempt to restore the proper spirit with a forlorn little fir Christmas tree fails, he needs Linus’ help to learn what the real meaning of Christmas is.

The show will be November 30 at 7 pm and December 1 at 3 pm and 7 pm, at New Hope Christian Church.
The Wylie Acting Group for Children is a nonprofit community theatre dedicated to producing works for children, by children, at no cost to the participants. Founded in 2010, WAG is currently in its 3rd season.
