Discover the history of Rockwall, Lake Ray Hubbard

(Rockwall) September 17, 2012 – Rockwall County Newcomers and Friends will learn about the history of Rockwall and the formation of Lake Ray Hubbard at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 11.

Sheri Fowler, vice president of the Rockwall County Historical Foundation and director of public relations for the Rockwall ISD, will present the program during the Newcomer’s regular monthly meeting.

Newcomers welcome all women of Rockwall County, whether new to the area or long-time residents, to attend.  This very interesting and informative program will follow a short business meeting and conclude with a delicious luncheon.

Past Presidents of the Rockwall County Newcomers and Friends were recognized at the September meeting of Newcomers. The organization celebrated their 35th year as a social organization for the women of Rockwall County. Newcomers and Friends meet every second Thursday at Occasions at Stone River, 1250 FM 2453, Royse City.
