Fighter pilot Scott O’Grady to speak at Salvation Army Doing the Most Good Dinner

The Salvation Army of Garland invites everyone to share an evening with Scott O’Grady, USAF Captain and former Air Force fighter pilot at the Annual Doing the Most Good Dinner at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 aat the Atrium at the Granville Arts Center, 300 North 5th Street in Garland, 75040.

Captain Scott O’Grady was shot down in an F-16 over Bosnia while helping to enforce the NATO no-fly zone. Alone – facing death, capture and the elements – he discovered within himself the spirit to  go on and relied on the skills learned during a lifetime of preparing for the unthinkable.

From O’Grady’s compelling life-and-death story, audiences learn how to adapt, change and succeed even under the most daunting and trying of circumstances.

Garland Mayor Ronald Jones will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
