Family event benefits Wylie Christian Care Center, St. Anthony’s
(Wylie) September 14, 2012 – Families from all over North Dallas can enjoy a fun-filled Saturday at St. Anthony’s Little White Church Fall Festival on October 6, 2012.
The Festival’s main attractions are the Cars 4 Cans car show, 5K, and 1 Mile Fun Run.
Enjoy food, games, live performances at this unique fair that benefits St. Anthony’s long-term development and the Wylie Christian Care Center.
Activities begin at 9 a.m. and will last until 9 p.m. Games end at 7 p.m. but exciting music and dance performances continue until 9.
Cars 4 Cans Car Show will feature custom and classic cars. Participants can vote by depositing cans of food next to the car of their choice. Donated cans and non-perishable food items will benefit the Wylie Christian Care Center.
Horse and buggy rides, bingo games, cake walks, live music and dance performances will delight visitors of all ages. Children’s games include bounce houses, train rides, ball throws and much more.
Festival goers can participate in a raffle to win a handcrafted old growth cypress yard swing valued at $2,500 or a two-night stay at Tanglewood Resorts.
If you’re looking for a fun way to exercise, consider registering for the 5K or 1 Mile Fun Run. The 5K and the 1 Mile Fun Run also benefit St. Anthony Church and the Wylie Christian Care Center.
Start location is Lutz Woodworks, LLC, 700 Parker Road in Wylie.
The 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is a USATF certified course. Register before September 29 to receive a free race T-shirt. Registration for races begins at 7 a.m.. Race time is at 8 a.m.
