New York Jets’ Tim Tebow to speak at Trinity Christian fundraising dinner

(Dallas) September 19, 2012 – Trinity Christian Academy will host its annual fundraising dinner on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the Hilton Anatole hotel with featured speaker, current New York Jets quarterback, Tim Tebow. Prior to the dinner program, a private reception will be held for special guests at 6 p.m.

During his keynote address, Tebow will share his personal testimony and professional journey.

“TCA is thrilled to have an iconic football star join us for our annual fundraising dinner, and we look forward to hearing Tim Tebow’s testimony and learning more about his life experiences,” said TCA Headmaster Dave Delph.

Widely recognized as one of the greatest college football players of all time, Tim Tebow’s collegiate career as a Gator at the University of Florida culminated in two national championships and his being honored as the first sophomore recipient of the Heisman Trophy.

A first round selection in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos, Tebow burst onto the national stage as he led the franchise to the 2011 NFL Playoffs for the first time in six years. Now Tebow is suiting up with the New York Jets. A fierce competitor with a strong work ethic, Tebow is a leader his teammates trust and respect.

On May 31, 2011, Tebow released his autobiography, Through My Eyes, which he co-wrote with author Nathan Whitaker. Though My Eyes spent 24 weeks on the New York Times best seller list, and was the best selling religion book in 2011.

Table sponsorships for the fundraising dinner will be available to the TCA community in January 2013, and sales will be opened to the general public at a later date. Signed Tebow memorabilia will be given to designated sponsorship levels, and a select number of items will be auctioned at the event to all attendees as well.

TCA’s annual fundraising dinner benefits student tuition aid and facilities enhancement. This year’s event is expected to raise $2.5 million.
