September 30, 2o12 – The Celina Balloon Festival and Family Fun Day is soaring to new heights! Held October 26-27, this event will include high-flying sky events including hot air balloons, helicopter rides, colorful kites, and RC Demo air show, rocket demonstrations, a presentation by Rocketman Dan Schlund and a drop in from SkyDive Dallas stunt skydivers!
Once you’ve stopped looking up, there is an amazing amount of things to do on the ground. Kids and adults will enjoy carnival rides and games and a giant 150 foot long slide. The children’s pavilions features a petting zoo, children’s activities, pet adoptions, crafts, an American Indian tribe presentation and a costume contest. 
On the festival grounds and in the Expo area shop and enjoy food and non-food vendors, the Parts Plus Classic Car Show, a Motorcycle Show presented by Harley-Davidson of Dallas, an RV Show from I-35 RV Center and the Papa-Gallo’s Beer Garden. The Main Stage includes a musical lineup with over 10 bands and entertainers featuring Emerald City and Sonny Burgess. The cost is only $5 per person (5 and under free), $5 parking.
