Chamber, Leadership Garland Prayer Breakfast features Carry the Load co-founder, Clint Bruce

Former Navy Seal, Carry the Load co-founder Clint Bruce is key note speaker

(Garland) November 7, 2012 – Join the Garland Chamber of Commerce as they celebrate “Hometown Leaders” during the  25th Annual Leadership Garland Prayer Breakfast, 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, December 6 at the Curtis Culwell Center.Each year, the Chamber and Leadership Garland host the Prayer Breakfast as an opportunity for the community to gather in fellowship and enjoy an uplifting message during the holiday season.This year’s speaker is Garland native Clint Bruce, former Navy SEAL and co-founder of Carry the Load, an organization with the mission to highlight the meaning of Memorial Day across America.

Bruce also co-founded the Trident Response Group, a personal security company in Dallas for which he serves as President. He played football at South Garland High School, the Naval Academy and had short pre-season stints as a free agent with the Baltimore Ravens and the New Orleans Saints.

Although he has many accomplishments to be proud of, Clint says “The greatest decision I ever made was accepting Jesus Christ, what he did and what he did for me. Everything comes second – trophies, wins, bowl rings, missions – it’s all second.”

The event will also recognize various charity organizations serving in the Garland community and highlight the Leadership Garland program.

Entertainment will be provided by Evergreen and the Coventry Reserve Signing Stars.

The cost is $35 per person or $350 per table of 10.
