(Rockwall ISD – November 9, 2012) The students of Nebbie Williams third grade class and Nebbie’s top money earners from the 2012 Jump Rope for Heart were “Paying It Forward” on November 2.
The students delivered some much needed PE equipment to Robert E. Lee Elementary in Dallas.
Nebbie Williams raised more than $25,000 in their Jump Rope for Heart campaign last year and were able to share the reward with a school that does not have much PE equipment.
The Nebbie PE teacher took some of the money that Nebbie was awarded for equipment and shared it by purchasing equipment for Lee Elementary.
Mrs. Henry’s third grade class jumped the most minutes in a jump rope contest to be selected as the class that helped to deliver the equipment. The students at Lee Elementary were very appreciative of the donation and prepared Thank You notes for each Nebbie student. The Nebbie students shared some quality time showing the Lee students some of our favorite games with the equipment given.
