(ROCKWALL ISD – December 4, 2012) Students from Cain Middle School and Amy-Parks Heath Elementary School were recently invited to participate in SMU’s TEDxKids event in Dallas.

Last Friday, SMU brought in speakers from around the country to present new, engaging ideas to the next generation of leaders. The speakers talked about leadership skills, connecting with the world around you, kindness and community service, the future of medicine and vaccines, filmmaking, and many other topics.

The goal of the program was to spark creativity and curiosity in students about the world around them and their capacity for changing it for the better.

CMS and APHE students will now start working on service projects in the community as part of their commitment to attend the program.
