Caring neighbors organize drive for Helping Hands Food Pantry

Caring neighbors

(FATE – December 5, 2012) Kerry Wiemokly (left) and Brian Braun unload boxes of food collected for the Helping Hands Food Pantry by the Woodcreek Neighborhood in Fate.

Their efforts brought in about 2,205 pounds of food for the pantry, according to Sherry Hamm, the non-profit agency’s Director of Assistance and Referral.

If you are interested in organizing a food drive for Helping Hands, please: select a date, a central location for collecting and storing food and determine how food will be collected (door-to-door, shopping, etc.). Then check with Helping Hands for a list of foods needed in the pantry at that time. Contact the agency’s business office at 972-771-4357, ext. 221 for more information. Your help will make a difference in the lives of Rockwall families in crisis.
