Community welcome to place Angel Wing ornaments on Tree of Remembrance
(December 5, 2012) Rest Haven Funeral Homes is pleased to once again invite the community to attend the 19th Annual Sounds of The Season Christmas program, being held this year at both the Rockwall and Rowlett Chapels.
The program at Rest Haven’s Rockwall Chapel will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 6:30 p.m., featuring the beautiful voices of the Rockwall High School choir, “Walk The Line.” Directed by Leia Browning, this talented group of vocalists will present an entertaining and festive holiday program including traditional holiday sing-a-longs and old-fashioned caroling.
Rest Haven’s Rowlett Chapel is proud to welcome back the Lakeshore Symphonic Winds Brass Choir to headline their program on Thursday, December 13, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. Directed by Hugo Martinez, the Brass Choir will perform a concert of traditional Christmas songs.
“We hope that these holiday events will give families a chance to take some time together to enjoy the sights and sounds of the season,” said Dewayne Cain, President and Founder of Rest Haven. “Christmas is a time when we especially miss those loved ones we have lost. Our desire is to provide a time for meaningful remembrance, reflection and recognition of the season.”
Additionally, there will be Angel Wing Remembrance Trees at both locations with keepsake ornaments available for families to personalize with a small photo or written remembrance. These ornaments will hang on the trees through the month of December, and then will be available for families to pick up as a gift from Rest Haven.
Light refreshments will be served, and there is no charge for this family friendly holiday event. Rest Haven Funeral Home’s Rockwall Chapel is located at 2500 State Hwy. 66 East, approximately two miles east of downtown Rockwall. The Rowlett Chapel is located one half block north of the intersection of Rowlett Road and Miller Road, at 3701 Rowlett Road. Please call Sharon Satterwhite at 972-771-8641 for information or questions.
