Women in Need seeks community help for mom, children

(ROCKWALL-December 20, 2012) Women in Need, a nonprofit organization serving Rockwall County that assists in the fight against domestic violence, is seeking support from the community to help a mother and her three children during an extremely difficult time.

The recently divorced mother lost her home and is moving into a two bedroom apartment. She is need of a few essentials. Her specific needs include a king size bed mattress (for her and her two younger children to sleep in); a small dining room table; and a small computer table.

  • Breaking the generational cycle of family violence
  • Eliminating the incidences of family violence completely
  • Educating families broken apart by violence to live by non-violent means
