(ROCKWALL ISD-January 31, 2013) This past weekend Rockwall High School and Rockwall-Heath High School took the top two places in the Large School Division of the 2013 Region 10 Academic Decathlon Competition held at W. H. Adamson High School in Dallas.
Rockwall (coached by Michael Oldham and Nicole Redmond) took first with a score of 50,612 points and runner up Heath (coached by Kim Blain and Kathleen Shipman) scored 45,670 points.
This year was both schools’ first time to compete in the Large School division. On Friday February 22, both schools will compete in the State Competition in El Paso. Rockwall is currently ranked first in the state and Heath is ranked third.
