‘Stars’ come out in Rockwall for Newcomers Oscar Night

Eliza Doolittle ( Yvonne Tiedtke) and Professor HIggens (Les Tiedtke) received the "Best Couple" award.

(ROCKWALL-February 19, 2013) The Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront rolled out the red carpet for Rockwall County Newcomers and Friends on February 11 for a “See you in the Movies – Oscar Night” Event.

The ‘stars’ came all decked out as a favorite Hollywood personality or a character from a movie.

2) Liza and Deanna — Posing for photographers on the red carpet, Liza Minnelli (Martha Foster) and Deanna Allison, chairperson for the event.

3 (1) — Cowboys and Indians like the red carpet too. The Lone Ranger and Tonto (Kenny and Dianne Knight) Maureen O'Hara and John Wayne (Key and Vernon Amundson) Dale Evans and Roy Rogers (Nancy and Forrest Laspe).

Fans and paparazzi lined the red carpet as the ‘stars’ arrived and were interviewed by such notables as Mary Hart (Carolyn Stewart), Joan Rivers (Sandra Atcheson) and Tim Gunn (Scott Atcheson).

Following the interviews and a chance to ‘meet and mingle,’ Dan Liane, Master of Ceremonies, introduced each star as they promenaded on the ‘Walk of Fame’.
