(ROCKWALL-March 25, 2013) Ashyln Stembridge, a seventh grader at Utley Middle School, recently competed at the 2013 Houston Livestock Show, placing third out of 66 goats in her division. This achievement allowed her to participate in the March 9 Premium Sale, where she was guaranteed $3,000.
“This is a huge moment in the “goat world” and we are very proud of her hard work, ” said Angela Stembridge, Ashlyn’s mom.
Ashyln, a member of Rockwall 4H and Jr. FFA, also placed 14th out of 75 goats in her class at the Fort Worth Stock Show in February, and won Reserve Champion Junior Goat Showman out of 7o competitors.
Next up, Ashlyn will exhibit two goats, a lamb, and a pen of rabbits at the Rockwall Youth Fair.
