(ROCKWALL-March 21, 2013) Nikki Vu and Kevin Kim are putting their musical talent to work for the homeless pets of North Texas. They’re hosting Dollars for Dogs, an evening of live music performed by student musicians to benefit Rockwall Pets.

The concert, which will feature a dozen performers of all ages – from elementary school to college – will take place at 6:30 pm this Saturday, March 23 at the Williams Middle School cafeteria in Rockwall.

Kevin Kim

Nikki and Kevin, who are classmates at Grace Hartman Elementary, put together the concert as part of a community service project they’re doing for their English class. Their research centers on abused and neglected animals. Rockwall Pets rescues animals who are at risk of losing their lives in north Texas animal shelters.

Nikki and Kevin are doing their part to help by organizing the multi-genre concert. The students will perform a wide variety of songs, from pop and contemporary favorites to classical compositions.

They’re donating 100 percent of the concert’s ticket sales to Rockwall Pets.

Nikki Vu

The roster of performers includes Emily Vu, Lina Kim, Danielle Monaco, Julia Kim, Eugene Kim, Kayla White, Amy Rester, Ben Allison, Mia Vu and Kylee Clark.
