Join Newcomers May 9 with Rockwall Summer Musicals

(ROCKWALL-April 15, 2013) The Rockwall County Newcomers & Friends celebrated the arrival of spring at their April 11 annual “Spring Tea” held at Occasions of Stone River.  The program featured the display of members’ special talents including knitting, sewing, jewelry making, engraving, quilting, art, photography, cooking and other amazing aptitudes.

Earlier this month 54 members attended a social event at a member’s lovely home.  Fashionable hats were decorated from recycled material provided by the Rad Hatter, a Dallas area business who provides event entertainment.  Members proudly sported their creations to the April 11 tea.  Following the business meeting lunch was served in keeping with the Spring Tea theme.

The next meeting will be held on May 9 at Occasions of Stone River in Royse City.  Members of the Rockwall Summer Musicals’ cast will present several numbers from their upcoming productions.  Reservations are required and must be made by April 29 by calling Sylvia at 972-772-4890 or Marion at 972-722-9896.  Doors open at 10 a.m.  for coffee, tea and visiting prior to the business meeting, program and lunch.  Cost is $19 payable at the door.  Any woman who is a resident of Rockwall County is invited to attend.
