Cullins Lake-Pointe students create award-winning posters

(ROCKWALL ISD-May 2, 2013) Fifth grade students at Doris Cullins Lake Pointe Elementary School recently participated in the Sons of the American Revolution poster contest.

This year’s theme was the Declaration of Independence.

Amerika Embers won first place for the Dallas chapter of SAR for her art work. Muthoni Kamau placed second.

Katherine Mok placed first in the research category and Avary Hampton earned second.

Amerika Embers’ poster was entered in the state SAR competition where she came in second.

John Morton from the Dallas chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution presented the students with cash awards and certificates.
