(ROCKWALL-May 9, 2013) In the words of John C. Maxwell, internationally recognized leadership author and speaker,  “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.”

Maxwell, along with eight other well known leaders in their field, will be energizing and motivating the attendees of the upcoming Chick-fil-A Leadercast event, Friday, May 10, at the Rockwall High School Performing Arts Center located at Utley Middle School.

The Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to bring the Chick-fil-A Leadercast event to Rockwall.  This will be the thirteenth year of this inspiring leadership event simulcast around the world from Atlanta, Georgia, but the first year for the event to be simulcast to a Rockwall auditorium.

“We are excited to bring this employee development opportunity to our local businesses and industries,” said Cindy Tayem, Oncor manager and 2013 Event Lead.  “This will be a fast paced day of phenomenal speakers and activities, offered at an affordable price for employers to enhance the leadership skills of their employees, thus leading to the accomplishment of company vision and goals.”

The 2013 Leadercast theme is “SIMPLY LEAD.”   Leading in a complex world requires simplicity to cut through the clutter.  Simplifying one’s life will be emphasized in order to strengthen one’s leadership.

In addition to Maxwell, other dynamic speakers featured will be Jack Welch, former CEO of General Electric, Mike Krzyzewski, head basketball coach for Duke University, LCDR Rorke Denver, Navy Seal and star of 2012 movie Act of Valor, Sanya Richards-Ross, 2012 London Olympic Gold Medalist, well known leadership authors, Andy Stanley, David Allen and Dr. Henry Cloud, and former Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice.

Doors will open at 7 a.m.  Attendees will be seated before 7:45 a.m. for local greetings and announcements.   The official simulcast from Atlanta will begin promptly at 8 a.m.    Breakfast and lunch will be provided by local Chick-fil-A restaurant partners, Tim and Melissa Moseley, the cost of which is included in the ticket price.

“It is such a benefit to our local businesses to be able to offer this event to their employees at such an affordable price,” said Dana K Macalik, Rockwall Area Chamber President.  “People attending the actual event in Atlanta will be paying up to $239 per ticket.  However, by way of the simulcast, we are able to offer a convenient venue at a much more affordable price.”
