‘We’re looking for a new class of leaders’
(Garland) June 12, 2013 – Citizens and employees in Garland are invited to develop leadership skills and learn more about the Garland community by participating in Leadership Garland’s 33rd class.
Leadership Garland was founded in 1979 and is one of the longest-running leadership programs in the state of Texas. For more than 30 years, Leadership Garland has provided top-of-the-line corporate leadership training – motivating and encouraging up-and-coming civic leaders and developing their personal leadership characteristics and skills.
Themed outings like Education Day, State Government Day, and many more inspire active participation while opening the doors of understanding for community needs and unique successes. Though the program evolves each year, the mission remains consistent: encourage graduates to contribute to Garland’s growth and future.

In order to be considered a qualified candidate for Leadership Garland Class 33, applicants must fulfill one of the following categories:
- Garland resident one year immediately prior to Sept. 1, 2013
- Employee of a Garland business one year immediately prior to Sept. 1, 2013
- Active member of the Garland Chamber of Commerce
Take a look at the class schedule and download the application now! Completed applications must be submitted by June 28, 2013. Applicants accepted to the program must pay the tuition of $750 by July 26, 2013.
