(Rockwall County) June 1, 2013 – Members of the Rockwall County 4-H Rockin’ Riders – a horse club dedicated to teaching, sharing and learning new skills through equine involvement – recently voted on how to spend the proceeds they’ve earned from fundraising efforts over the past year.
Members decided to send a $500 check, in partnership with Holt Ranch & Feed in Royse City, to help with AAEP disaster relief for displaced and injured horses from tornado-stricken Oklahoma.
Rockin’ Riders members do not have to own a horse to participate in the club; and both English and Western disciplines are welcome. To learn more about the club or to become a member, visit their website or email Lori Rowe at loriarowe@sbcglobal.net.
