4-H horse club makes Rockin’ donation to help with Oklahoma disaster relief

Grace Otten, Cat Sabella, Layne Miller, Trevor Rowe, Shelby Rowe, Katie Mercantel and Grace Mercantel are among the Rockin' Riders members who donated fundraising dollars to help displaced and injured horses from tornado-stricken Oklahoma.

(Rockwall County) June 1, 2013 – Members of the Rockwall County 4-H Rockin’ Riders  –  a horse club dedicated to teaching, sharing and learning new skills through equine involvement – recently voted on how to spend the proceeds they’ve earned from fundraising efforts over the past year.

Members decided to send a $500 check, in partnership with Holt Ranch & Feed in Royse City, to help with AAEP disaster relief for displaced and injured horses from tornado-stricken Oklahoma.

Rockin’ Riders members do not have to own a horse to participate in the club; and both English and Western disciplines are welcome.  To learn more about the club or to become a member, visit their website or email Lori Rowe at .
