(Rockwall) June 25, 2013 – NEWS SPLASH: The number of Flo-T Duck sightings has increased dramatically since Blue Ribbon News first reported the discovery of curious web-footed tracks around Lake Ray Hubbard.

The once-elusive waterfowl has become somewhat of a celebrity, seen mingling with Congressman Ralph Hall and more than 30 honorees during the Older Americans Day Celebration at the Rockwall County Library. (Flo-T claims she’s a senior citizen in ‘duck years’.)

GoodCause_FloDuckRubberDuckTowel — Dr Bart Miller and the staff at Rockwall Crossing Orthodontics adopted the very first corporate duck of the 2013 Regatta.

As the official mascot of the Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta, Flo-T is shaking tail feathers everywhere she goes – quacking about the Duck Dash 5K, the Arts & Crafts Vendor Fair, the Corporate Duck Beauty Pageant, the VID (Very Important Duck) Party – and of course, the second annual regatta which will send thousands of ducks splashing down The Harbor fountains in a race to the finish line. The two-day charity event, set for Sept. 20-21, will benefit the Boys & Girls Club and Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County.

You can also adopt a duck at the Regatta booth at Harbor FreedomFest on Sunday, June 30.
