Rockwall Technology Park welcomes Nolan Power Group

Regional headquarters bring 25 new jobs

(Rockwall) June 17, 2013 –  The Rockwall Economic Development Corporation announces the recent addition of Nolan Power Group to the Rockwall Technology Park. Nolan Power Group offers products, PM and installation service, testing and engineering service for the industrial, utility, commercial, telecommunication, distributors and OEM/Packager sectors. The 20,000 SF regional headquarters is located on Observation Trail in the Rockwall Technology Park, located just south of Interstate 30. Nolan Power Group has offices in Louisiana, Florida, Houston, Dallas and Rockwall.

The headquarters will create 25 new jobs, including administrative, sales and warehouse operations.

“We are very happy to have Nolan Power Group join the other corporations in theRockwallTechnologyPark. Roger and Kory Turner are longtime residents in the Rockwall community and having their business close to their home is such an added bonus for them,” said Sheri Franza, President and CEO of the REDC. “Several of ourTechnologyParkbusiness owners live in the Rockwall community and chose to bring their business here as well. By doing so they cut down on their commute time, and are able to spend more quality time with family and friends enjoying all that Rockwall has to offer together. They have chosen the best of both worlds.”

Nolan Power Group was formed in 1979 as the premier provider of Power Quality Solutions for emergency backup power applications in the Gulf Coast States. The new regional headquarters office staff will consist of an engineering group, customer service group and project coordination group which manage customers and projects through the Gulf Coast States. The warehouse will be used for staging projects.

VP of Sales of Nolan Power Group, Roger Turner, chose Rockwall and theRockwallTechnologyParkfor the expansion of his business primarily due to its prime location.

“Rockwall is the logical place for us to grow our North Texas Division of Nolan Power Group” said Turner. “The Rockwall Technology Park has easy access to Interstate 30 and is centrally located for our customers in this region.”

Several businesses in theTechnologyParksublease space to other tenants. The REDC leases office space from Texas A&M Commerce at Rockwall.

“Two of the most recent four companies to join us here in the Rockwall Technology Park, Hatfield and Company and Bimbo Bakeries USA, did a build-to-suit and occupy their entire space,” said Franza. “Texas A&M Commerce at Rockwall leased existing space and subleased corporate office space to the REDC. Nolan Power Group built their building to suit and added an additional 10,000 SF to sublease that is available today.  TheTechnologyParkhas space available for lease and land available for new construction. Rockwall is wide open for business!”

Nolan Power Group is the 13th corporate business to occupy Phase I of theRockwallTechnologyPark. Phase I is almost completely full with businesses ranging from light manufacturing to corporate headquarters. Bimbo Bakeries USA recently opened a state of the art baking facility in Phase II of theTechnologyPark. Phase III infrastructure is currently being planned, as it will be needed to accommodate additional businesses.

“We are experiencing a surge in commercial, office and retail development in Rockwall. New commercial building permits will generate $42 million this year. And our residential permits are at 127% increase over last year,” said Franza.  “Major industry is paying attention to these statistics and are considering Rockwall for their expansion and relocation plans.”
