(Wylie/Sachse) June 26, 2013 – Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship is proud to announce their membership in the Sachse Chamber of Commerce.   To celebrate this new fellowship, the Sachse Chamber of Commerce will host a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, immediately following the monthly chamber meeting which begins at 11:30.

The event will take place at the Northplace Church located at 2709 Third Street in Sachse.  In attendance at the ribbon cutting will be several of the local Mayors surrounding Equest’s Wylie-Based Therapeutic Horsemanship Center.

Also on hand for the ribbon cutting will be the Equest Mini Ambassadors, specially trained miniature Therapy Horses.  The Mini Ambassador’s role in the community is to reach out to children in schools and hospitals who cannot come to the Equest facility.

For more than 30 years, Equest has delivered the benefits of equine-assisted therapy to thousands of North Texas children and adults with varying disabilities and special needs.  Equest was the first, and continues to be the largest, therapeutic riding center in Texas with more than 150 clients weekly, receiving a variety of equine-assisted therapy programs.
