(Wylie) June 20, 2013 – Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship has an opportunity to win a Gyspy horse to assist North Texas veterans in their transition to civilian life through its Hooves for Heroes program.  This one horse can make a difference in the lives of dozens of veterans who are suffering from PTSD as well as in the lives of their family members.

“Equest is currently holding onto a slim lead, but we are losing ground.  We would like to rally the North Texas community to assist us in winning this contest.  Please help us gather support. The contest is run entirely through Facebook.  You can vote daily for Equest by going to this link:  http://woobox.com/3ywiuu/upload/615922,” wrote Linda Kordek Milton, Development Director, Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship.

The contest ends on July 4th.

Equest provides equine‐assisted therapy and rehabilitation for children and adults with physical, cognitive, emotional and learning disabilities. Equest began in 1981 as the first therapeutic riding center in Texas. Their mission is to empower, enrich, and educate through horses.
